Review summary

We also visited Barcelona on this cruise which wasn't on the app. Great day although we spent a lot of time on the Ho-Ho. There was something lacking on this cruise, but I don't know what. We would certainly cruise again on this ship because it was fine

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Nice early embarkation, so we had chance to mooch around when it was quiet.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The MDR was as good as ever

The Kitchens

2 out of 5

This was not self service as we had expected

Abuela's

4 out of 5

Well cooked food and very tasty

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Did some quizzes and the crazy golf, but my grandson got frustrated and went off on one!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Saw a good variety of shows, which were all well performed

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My grandson loved the M club. It was particularly good on this ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As usual, we couldn't fault the staff

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Common areas were good and had been updated well, but the cabins were a bit tatty

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin and balcony were a bit tatty, more time must have been spent on the common areas. The fridge and tea and coffee making facilities were still there, which was good.

Ship tip

Kitchens can be very busy, so use the MDR for meals, including breakfast if you have the time

Ports of call

COTE D'AZUR, FRANCE

2 out of 5
We docked at La Seigne sur Mer, and then a shuttle boat to Toulon. We did the little train trip, which went to the beach, but didn't stop. I suggested ringing the bell, but people thought it was only for emergencies. Still a good port.

TUSCANY REGION, ITALY

5 out of 5
This was our third time in Livorno, so we decided to have a look at it. Did the canal boat trip, which was well worth it. Afterwards we had a nice drink in the centre and then back on the shuttle bus to the ship.

Valencia, Spain

3 out of 5
We had our grandson with us, so we took him to the Oceanagraphic. Some good aquaria there, but they pushed the helping the oceans a but far, as they had captive dolphins.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

4 out of 5
Got on and off here, but did have some good views of both countryside and buildings on the way past

Nice, France

4 out of 5
This was a tender port at Villefranche sur Mer. We went to the beach and then looked for the hidden road, which was interesting.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We had a late disembarkation, so hired a room until we left. All went well
