Love cruising! A great value for your money!
Mardi Gras was a fun ship to be on!
Embarkation

Easy, starting in line to getting on the ship took about 30 minutes. Not bad for how many people there were there!

Food and Dining

MDR was very nice, we especially love the sea day brunch…great menu!
We did both ChiBang and Cucina del Capitano. Loved Cucina, went back a second time, everything we tried was delicious! And you could pretty much order as much as you wanted in the menu.
Onboard Activities

We love the comedy shows!! There were 5 different comedians on this sailing and each had a PG and a R rated show. Fun!
No pool time, they seem small for the amount of people onboard.
Casino was one of the biggest ones we’ve seen on a ship. Fun games to play, nice variety. One thing we were not happy with was that there were very few staff taking orders for drinks. I had to get up several times and find somebody to take my order.
Entertainment

Watched all the shows. You can see that the performers well if you’re on the bottom floor of Grand Central. Other areas, black your view.
Children's Programs

Service and Staff

Hard working staff!! Always friendly and cleaning all over the ship. Our stateroom attendant Faruk was awesome.
Ship Quality

Beautiful areas all around the ship. I didn’t care for Grand Central being the entertainment area as much as I like a beautiful atrium when you walk in onto a ship. The Mardi Gras theater was very large, accommodating a big crowd. Only disadvantage in there was that they did not serve drinks. You had to go to a bar to order a drink and then bring it into the show. Comfortable seats and legroom!
Cabin / Stateroom

Square room with plenty of storage space! Bed was sooo comfortable!
We walked to the El Moro fort, a national park. Be sure to bring your card if you have the pass you can get in free. Lots of walking. Barrachina for lunch, Home of the original piña colada. If you plan on going, be sure to get there early. We arrived at 11 and waited an hour for a table. Excellent food!!
Mega Truck excursion was nice. Went up the mountain side, visited a typical DR home, had a great lunch at a ranch with an area to walk through and see fruits, flowers and a parrot 😊
Thank you for reviewing Mardi Gras. We were on her just after the pandemic and will be again in September. It’s nice to see a glowing review. So many have told us we won’t enjoy her at capacity.
