Review summary

We were disappointed the last night of the cruise when we wanted to eat somewhere other than the main dining room or specialty restaurant. The Big Chick closed at 5pm, why when everyone is onboard and sailing just did not make any sense. Additionally, the desserts offered nightly throughout the cruise were uninspiring.

Embarkation

Port Canaveral has wonderful access to parking and boarding the ships

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
For a new ship the décor in the main dining room was very dark and did not give off a feeling of elegance. There was not a lot of variety on the menu, the portions were extremely small, and the service was very very slow.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool by staying away from the ones overcrowded with kids. We were extremely disappointed with the hot tubs which was continually used by children of all ages using them as “their” swimming pools, on one afternoon we counted 25 children in a hot tub splashing around. We felt that staff should have been monitoring this more closely.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the entertainment however we are not fans of the "center stage" venue. With this type of setting, you have people walking thru the area during the entire show. The main theater was ok but too small to accommodate a lot of people which made finding a seat sometimes difficult. The comedy clubs were fun but again too small to accommodate the number of individuals who wanted to enjoy the show.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was fantastic and satisified all of our requests. Guest services on the first day only had 4 staff members trying to help a long line of customers waiting. One position was held for people with disabilities and since there were not any waiting for assistance that staff member just stood there and did not try to assist anyone else standing in line.

Hot tubs are for kids too, especially when the pool water is cold. They have hot tubs in the Serenity area that are for only 21yr + so it’s an option if you don’t want any kids around. I do agree that dessert variety is lacking other than at lido buffet lunch where they had more.

I agree with you as far as mdr food choices, but all the other included restaurants give you a lot to choose from.
