Review summary

Carnival and our CD (Cookie) parted ways mid cruise…this was kind of upsetting as we picked this itinerary to be with him. There were many event not hosted but appeared on the app and we missed out on a lot of fun. Overall we were there with family and it was fine but it didn’t go unnoticed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

During dining as well as the steakhouse, dining took forever. The drink orders were never correct we were getting charged for drinks we didn’t get. When we finally cancelled them, they still showed up on our tab (we only had drinks in the casino) then we had to stand in line at customer service, only to be told “I’m so sorry it was a glitch.” Our friends had the drink package, they joined us for the steakhouse, there were 15 of us in total. They placed EVERYONES drink order on their tabs which is fine, but it was only 6pm…they had no more drinks due to capping out for the day so back to CS to be told it was a glitch. After standing there for 2hrs it was resolved.

Ship Quality

Ship was extremely hot ALWAYS. The temperature was never consistent, and our stateroom was so hot. We complained about it and got a fan but we even put an old CC in the slot to keep air going and it remained hot. I woke up sweating most nights.

Cabin / Stateroom

This room is TINY. I would never stay in an interior room again. The room is hot, the actual Havana Cabana—its own bar and pool (is actually a hot tub not pool) you had to wait for ever for bar service as the outdoor bartender was the indoor one too. I wouldn’t pay for the Havana experience again as it didn’t give us anything different than our other guests.

Ship tip

I would request a fan as soon as you get on board. Plan out your activities and try to find the themed parties a few weeks in an advance (we found out days before). Carnival and our CD parted ways mid cruise for us so this was interesting.

I understand a good CD makes all the difference if you want to enjoy the various activities onboard.

I understand picking the cruise for Cookie, he is fantastic. I understand the disappointment with not having him visible the last few days. Tiny room is to be expected for interior. Was there anything positive?

Really? You picked the cruise because of the CD ?
