All in all a good cruise, there were a few aspects we did not enjoy, but overall we enjoyed most of the food options and the overall vibe of the ship.

I have sailed on Carnival for the last 15 years, been on multiple ships, and sampled various food offerings and food venues on the ships.
Lido Buffett - over the last few years there has been a steady decline in the overall food variety and quality of food that is being offered. Breakfast provided the familiar items, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, etc, the breakfast overall was good, there were no major issues or dislikes. Lunch and Dinner Buffetts had a variety of offerings each night, the freshly carved meats were not fresh, they appeared to be reused daily, and the taste was not good. The dishes and side dishes also did not have that freshly prepared taste or quality as in years past. For the first time we tried to limit our interaction with the Lido Buffett.
Cucina Del Capitano - this was by far our favorite restaurant, the food, atmosphere, and overall experience were above average and consistent. We would recommend everyone try this offering at least once.
Farienheit 555 - overall great experience, the food was fresh and prepared well, and the attention to service and detail was evident in each dish and offers that we tried.
Chi Bang - the worst of all the restaurants that we tried, the food was not tasteful, one dish we had was not fully cooked, and the wait was extremely long. The kitchen and servers all appeared to be in a crazy rush, it was clearly evident there were major issues with the logistics of preparing and serving food. I would avoid this venue as there are much better options to sample.

The breakfast sandwich was not good, the biscuit was hard and not tasteful. The chicken was ok.....The lunch sandwichs were ok, the overall flavor of the 3 different sandwichs were not that good - the fast prep and mass production has led to some overall quality of the taste and presentation.

Onboard Activities

Typical trivia, tea time, dive-in movies, etc, they were all in Carnival fashion and we did not have any major complaints. The one big sticking point is the continuous breakdown of the roller coaster, Bolt, we booked three separate times and each time they canceled because it broke down. The coaster only ran half of the first day and was broken down the rest of the cruise. The breakdown is a reoccurring issue, I understand things break down, but being a new ship and this being one of the newest features, you would think Carnival would rectify this from happening over and over again.....

One big change is the Mardi Gras Theater is smaller compared to other ships, they have split the main theaters into 2 different areas, one area is open, and in the middle area of the ship with limited seating options. There were several shows where there were not enough seating options and the shows rotate daily, which causes some to miss seeing certain shows.

The staff are always amazing, we really didnt have any major issues, overall though the interaction seemed less compared to other cruises.

The ship is beautiful and laid out well, the one major dislike was the theater layout.
Cabin / Stateroom

The new bathroom layout is not the best, it seems smaller and it is hard to navigate with the door closed. The room itself was nice and the layout was good, the extended balcony is a nice addition, with a lounge seat also on the balcony.
The Bahamas has not changed much, the new port is nice, but not many store offerings, it has got to the point that we do not even get off the ship any longer.
