Review summary

Picked this cruise for ports of call and to check out the Mardi Gras. It is a nice ship but appears not to have the elegance of some of the older smaller ships. There is a lot of people on the ship but crowds flowed very well and the elevators did appear to move a lot faster. I got my 10k steps in daily. My wife and I started feeling sick near the end of cruise and stayed in cabin last day. As suspected, we tested positive for Covid. Not complaining, it is expected when you have 6500 passengers plus staff on a ship.

Embarkation

It moved fast and smooth for the amount of people. The Carnival terminal itself was just okay.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room (anytime dinning) had tables crammed in close. The service was good except on Lobster night in which they appeared overwhelmed. Food was just okay. My fault I waited too long to book specialty dinning. They are booked up pretty fast.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was clean and room steward was excellent. I was in a cove balcony room on 5th deck aft. A great location to catch the elevators. The room was smaller than balcony rooms on Carnival ships half the size. The deck was very small too.

Ship tip

Book specialty dinning early.
