Review summary

We've cruised with Carnival a lot, Platinum. Very disappointed in main dining, The Palms. Long waits, mediocre menu, food. The cell phone system just didn't work well for us. Many plusses, ship design, Lido, Deck 8, cleanliness, entertainment. Lost an important piece of luggage during debarkation. It had Rx's, my wife's wallet, some $$$. Customercare appears to care less. No personal response to urgent e-mail . A "Lost & Found" posting was not reassuring. "Lost & found items are sent to a central location. It may take 90 days to return items." Personal concern totally lacking!!!

The Palms was terrible. Poor service. Mediocre menu, food. Long waits. Crowded seating. The Lido Buffet was excellent. As were the Guy's Burgers, Italian Paninna, The Chicken Place

Too old to participate in most, in 80's. Fitness Center was excellent.

Entertainment

Main shows were impressive. Great visuals, acoustics. Rick & Ruby, The Jazz Walkers, Guitarist/Singer, Grant, The String Trio all excellent.

Service and Staff

For the most part, excellent. Room stewards were fine. Celein in the Lido was particularly helpful. She was, also, a super wheel chair assistant on twp occasions.

Ship Quality

A gorgeous ship! Artistically done. Use of color, unique furniture incredible. Many "private places" to sit, chat, and enjoy. Areas always clean. Technical - visual, sound outstanding

Bed very comfortable. Excellent use of space. Room storage outstanding.
