Review summary

Cruised with two young kids. Staff was fantastic. Many of the people on board were not so much. A lot of rudeness and impatience. People arguing about who was waiting for the elevator first. Witnessed a lot of rudeness towards staff. For us we will likely stop choosing large ships and may stop cruising Carnival. This has less to do with Carnival, and more with the clientele Carnival seems to attract. The ship was beautiful, the food was fantastic.

Kids club was great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff is A+, they work super hard and always a smile on their face.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The main floors 6-8 were way too crowded at night. Sometimes could not even walk through because people bottlenecked.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
beds were so comfortable, room was a bit small. location was great, never heard elevators but did hear BOLT during the day

Ship tip

It's a very large ship, and you will walk a lot If you don't mind crowds you will be fine. The pool on 8aft was our favourite

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry you had argumentative fellow passengers. Glad you still managed to enjoy some of your cruise.

We were on that same cruise. In regard to passenger rudeness, and issues at the elevators - yes, there were often crowds at the elevator banks at times. At popular debarkation times for the ports, the wait time at elevators seemed long - especially with available space inside elevators reduced due to mobility scooters and wheelchairs. It seemed to be more of an issue at the mid-ship elevator banks rather than the forward and aft elevators. We also sailed on the Mardi Gras in November 2021 when the ship was only 4 months old, and sailing with a much lower passenger load. We had none of these issues then. We sailed quite a few 4 day cruises on CCL in 2022, and I can tell you that there's a big difference in the clientele between the 3 or 4 day cruises and the 7 day cruises. 3 & 4 day cruises typically have a much larger percentage of younger "partying" people as opposed to 7 day cruises having a higher percentage of older cruisers (and a lot more mobility scooters). The rudeness you observed on this 7 day cruise is most likely minimal compared to what we've seen on the shorter CCL cruises packed with the party crowd.
