Go and enjoy the Mardi Gras. You won’t be disappointed.
Embarkation

Becoming platinum on this cruise was an added benefit to this cruise. Going thru security to the waiting area was quick and getting on the ship didn’t take that long.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
So many places to eat and enjoy. My favorite was Rudi’s Sea Grill. The cost was definitely worth it. Big Chicken sandwiches were delicious and so were the fries. Didn’t even try Guy’s Burgers this trip as he is way on deck 17. Emeril’s jambalaya was great. Only downfall was the Lido marketplace. Only went there twice to check out the dinner choices and was disappointed.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I didn’t take advantage of the activities on the ship. Went to a foot testing session put on by the Spa and it turned out to be a sales talk about shoe inserts. However, my cabin mate took advantage of a discounted massage session and she said it was great and well with the money.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
I’m sorry if you all think that Carnival’s entertainment is great. I just can’t agree. We walked out of the theater’s playlist Rock Revolution’69 show. It was too loud and the screeching singers ruined the music of my generation. The atrium’s New Orleans show was a lot better, though. By the end of the cruise, I was glad I didn’t have to hear one more BYEEE from Miss Kendall Frye, the cruise director.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service in the dining room and all other eating options were exceptional. Everyone always had a smile on their face and always willing to assist you in anyway they could. Our room steward, Jesus, was outstanding. Cabin was clean and he greeted us with a friendly greeting whenever we met in the hallways. Unfortunately, I had to make use of the medical services this trip. The nurse was very professional and took care of my injury quickly.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Loved this ship and hope to make a repeat voyage again soon. The ship is beautiful. From reading the reviews on how big the Mardi Gras was, I expected to be worn out going back and forth to my aft cabin and I was pushing my cabin mate in a wheelchair. It really wasn’t that bad. Didn’t have any troubles with the elevators being slow. Patience is a virtue.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
I thought our balcony was a lot smaller than balcony cabins on our previous cruises. Storage was more than adequate. However, the bathroom is one step better than an airplane bathroom. It is small. But, I did appreciate the glass door instead of the shower curtain that always sticks to your legs when showering. It was comfortable and looked to be in good shape.
Ship tip
Enjoy your week on this beautiful ship. Take advantage of all the different dining opportunities and don’t sweat the small stuff.
Being platinum is great embarking and disembarking!! My cabin mate was in a wheelchair and we very much appreciated the fact that a crew member wheeled her down the ramp into the terminal, and they had terminal workers that took over and helped me find our luggage and wheeled her to our car. That was a blessing.
Thank you , we liked the decor of the ship. We found the entertainment venues to be way too small for the size of the ship. We will stick to the smaller ships
