Review summary

The was my brothers first cruise, and as he would put it, It was eh. It was the other cruiser that made the experience such a let down. Many people were rude, noisy and could care less what their appearance was to everyone around them. The destinations were great however, the few unexpected stops were a bit annoying.

Embarkation

This port was very confusing to navigate, and parking was a mess. I witnessed multiple wrecks, and all of the port workers directing traffic were terrible. All had attitudes, not very helpful and complained to everyone that had already paid to park in the garage and were telling everyone to find somewhere else to park. Then when it came to taking bags out of the car to be 'checked' for the cruise everyone was very rude and pushy for a dollar tip. When it came time to allow people for check in. The line system was a joke. Each person for the cruise had to select a time for check-in, and lanes designated for times. People would just skip lines and not wait in correct lane for the time they chose, on the boarding passes the workers would just allow them in, workers could care less about your check in time. When it finally came time to take scan the boarding passes, majority of the crew didn't speak very good English, it was extremely hard to make out what was being said.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room was ok, but was very plain and poorly decorated, to be a newer ship, I would have thought they would have stepped up decor. The buffets were ok, they only had one buffet side open the hole time. So they were ALWAYS very crowded! And we chose late dining so we never got a chance to make a restoration for the specialty dining.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We enjoyed all pools, and hot tubs! The gym was very nice, and it seemed they kept well cleaned between guest. We liked the basketball court, and playing some pool.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
DJs were awesome!

Children's Programs

I didn't travel with any children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters make a cruise more memorable to me, they get to know the family. What we like and don't like, and have actually conversations. The room steward was awesome, he always asked what we were up to and how our day was. He made us feel so much better about coming back to our room!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The walkways in common areas were way over crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was small, and the bed closet to the window sucked, the curtain would become very tight in between the bed, I was afford it would brake but never did! The bathroom was small, but I liked the glass door instead of the old style curtain. I didn't like the toilet shape (my feet could barley touch the ground). But the room was spotless every time it was cleaned!

Ship tip

I would say stay on the level 5, it was close enough to stairs and both elevators. And the main stuff was two floors up so noise was very low.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

The beach was awesome, because of covid, everything has a went up in price. But the beach was still free and chair further back were free as well. We rented a clam shell cover, and could see the water!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

We chose to do the Atv and Beach. The atv was worth the price of excursion but beach part wasn't. The paths for the ate rides were great, they were rough and rugged. It wouldn't be wise to go on this excursion if you weren't experienced in riding. After the atv part we were dropped off at a resort like area, where EVERYTHING was way more expensive then in town, the food wasn't so good. We got a fajitas mix, and guacamole and chips and medium margarita and 2 sprites it came out too be 85$ USD. Which was not worth it at all. I wish we would have just skipped the beach area, it would have been better to just go back to town and explore outside of the port area.

They DO need to fix the embarkation, or they will lose loyalists.
