Review summary

My husband and I had a great time on the Mardi Gras. The ship does feel closed off though which is surprising at how big she is. However, it rarely felt like there were over 6,000 people on board! We would do it again.

An unexpected occurrence took place on the cruise before us which held up embarkation for nearly 4 hours. The wait was painful with 6,000 people crammed in small places.

I was impressed with the food. Carnival is not known for having the best food, but I loved everything I ate.

The Serenity adults only section was amazing. My husband and I spent every sea day there.

With COVID still among us, I expected to see more cleaning in common areas, but I only ever saw the floors being cleaned. A lot of the hand sanitizer stations were empty as well.

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was long and very narrow but it was comfortable and we had plenty of storage. We had an extended front facing balcony and I loved seeing where we were going!

Ship tip

The elevators are hard to get so you sometimes need to go in the opposite direction. If everyone is trying to go up, hit the down button and vice versa. You will be surprised at how much that helps.
