Review summary

As a first time cruiser we felt the size of the ship was a bit overwhelming for all of us. We did manage to have a lot of fun regardless. Just wish some of the venues like the comedy clubs and shows had a bigger space,it all seem pretty crammed for the amount of passengers on board the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Some of the restaurants were great some not so much.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were way too tiny for the amount of passengers on board.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Getting a seat for a show was almost impossible and extremely annoying.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
While it was a little tight for a family of four, it was very pretty and always clean.

Ship tip

Wouldn’t advise you go on the biggest ship audible has as a first time cruiser. While we enjoy the experience the size of the ship and people on board was a little overwhelming for us. We still managed to have a very good time.

Walking inside the beach and there are rocks everywhere. Cannot really enjoy the ocean because of all the rocks.

The Mardi Gras In My Opinion Is Hands Down The Best Ship

Wow, you started at the top for your first cruise. It’ll be hard to top the Mardi Gras. We loved it! Our first cruise was on the Magic. If you think you might prefer a little smaller, try that one. We loved that one too, but my new favorite is now the Mardi Gras! Happy sailing!

Glad you enjoyed it. I have seen many comments about small venues on Mardis Gras. Hopefully they will correct the design on future builds.
