Review summary

Started out fine but was feeling sick by day 4. Tested when we got home. Both of us have Covid.

Ship tip

Be prepared for crowds! 6000 guests, very few wore masks. Hubby & I both contracted Covid.

We were on the cruise before yours. First, let me say I am sorry y’all got Covid and I hope you are on the mend. I’m sorry your experience wasn’t great. We loved our cruise in the Mardi Gras and can’t wait to book another one! One opposite view I have is that it didn’t feel crowded at all - except at obvious times like deck parties. We found quiet areas all over the ship. We traveled with our adult children and their partners. Guess what - my son caught Covid after our cruise from a friend! I thought that was pretty ironic that he cruised with 6,000 people unscathed, but came home and got it from one friend. Just goes to show it only takes one. By the way, just about every ship has Covid. It’s a chance you take.

We were on the same sailing. Many people but very clean. I wore my mask in certain areas if I felt it was needed.

Hope you’re both feeling ok and that your symptoms were mild enough that you could still enjoy your cruise! By requiring a negative test to embark, the cruise lines are still going over and above any other type of holiday provider given that more and more countries only require you to be vaccinated to travel there. Not much more they can do as long as they’re keeping the ship clean, which I always felt they did pre-covid anyway

Seems to be a thing on carnival! We came home with it from the Magic 2 weeks ago .. They are not cleaning the way they used to even before covid came along they cleaned better!
