Review summary

Not so happy with this as my first cruise. I felt nickeled and dimed.

Onboard Activities

I think it’s ridiculous that Carnival charges to ride the roller coaster. I brought my 14month child on the cruise. My child could only go to the Dr. Seuss room. The pool rules were absurd even with a swim diaper my child could not get in the pool unless the child is potty trained. No child care services either because my child was not vaccination (which there is currently no vaccination given to children under 5). Needless to say I would have never paid for my 14month child to go on this Cruise knowing of this information. It was a waste of money and my vacation.

My 14month did not have any access to any activities except the Dr. Seuss room. Could not even get in the swimming pools. I’m highly disappointed

Carnival could’ve done better. I didn’t see any point of obtaining a tag when everyone got released at the same time.

Sounds great. I look forward to the Cruise. Since I always research before I Cruise, we won't have any of those problems.

Sorry you had such a poor time but planning and researching is necessary especially traveling with little ones. The answer to many of your complaints could have been found on Carnival's website under the FAQ section. Hopefully your next trip will be better for you.

There us a lot of research to do right now just for adults cruising because things change so often. It's our responsibility to keep up and be ready to cruise. The cruiselines post information online and it helps to subscribe to travel blogs/vlogs. It also helps to have a travel agent who stays current on what is happening. I would not take a child under 5 right now on a cruise because they are not vaccinated and most activity is geared to those who are vaccinated. Safety is a priority for all cruising. It is a choice to take a young child and know what to expect. There was a lot of children on my cruise because it was spring break. Those with children under 5 either had their children with them all day or had brought along a grandparent or other relative who took care of their child so that the parent/parents could have time at some activities that did not allow children under 18.

Research is just as important as the cruise. Knowing what to expect, all you had to do is call and ask those questions and concerns.
