I don’t think the beverage package was worth it for us. We had the bottomless bubbles pack, and never really used it to it fullest potential as it was not as convenient to get sodas from all of the bar areas on board. The staff sometimes seemed annoyed that we were only ordering soda and not alcohol and the soda dispensers onboard were a pain to use and only worked like 60% of the time.

My passport card did not work at the check in stand so we had to go to guest services desk, and the whole check in appointment time was useless.

Service and Staff

Staff was super friendly and helpful when needed. Would have been a 5 star rating if not for one guy who on several days was wondering around the ship (including in the main dining Palm Restaurant for dinner and our on the lido deck for breakfast when people are trying to relax) who went around blowing a whistle under his mask to get the attention of guests to ask them if they needed anything additionally. The whistle blower was super annoying!!!

Beautiful ship!!! Can’t wait to sail on her again!
Cabin / Stateroom

It was very spacious and well designed. As a big person, I appreciate that we had a glass shower door instead of just a curtain and that it swiveled. It made the whole experience much more enjoyable. The bathrooms overall could be a tad larger to accommodate plus size people better…but I have definitely had worse experiences elsewhere.
Ship tip
I would recommend using the carnival hub app to its fullest potential. It made communicating with our party, scheduling our dinners or coordinating events so much easier.
Amber Cove was possibly one of the most beautiful and cleanest ports I have ever been to when you first get off of the ship! It was lively and there were plenty of little places to shop or book a fun event for the day right in the port. We did have an excursion booked here, we had the dolphin encounter at ocean world booked and it was amazing!!! Ocean world was clean and beautiful!!! I would definitely recommend for someone with children, or anyone interested in animals/animal shows. If I are looking for more of a water park or relaxation time, this may not be for you.
We did not have an excursion booked here, but once we got off the ship, we did rent a golf cart to ride around on the island. I would not recommend doing this though, as our golf cart broke down at the opposite end of the island once we got out to see the light house. We had to take a taxi back to port and get another golf cart for the remainder of the day because they would not offer us any of our money back even though we had only had the first golf cart for just 1.5 hours when it broke down. The island itself was pretty easy to navigate though, and the water was some of the most clear and beautiful ocean water I have ever seen. The blue/green colorations you could see from all over the island were unbelievable. Also, keep an eye out for asses!!! They were everywhere…the island was literally full of them!
