Review summary

My family and I were extremely happy with our Cruise. There was so much to do on the ship that it feels impossible to see/do it all on 1 trip. Definitely looking forward to our next Carnival Cruise!

Service and Staff

Paulo & Saiful we’re our waiters at the Palm Restaurant. They were very nice and attentive. Paulo was incredible at remembering our names and stopping by to chat with us throughout the ship. He really made our 1st Carnival Cruise memorable!

Room was bigger than I expected and quite comfortable for 3 adults and 1 teenager.

Ship tip

There’s ALOT to see and do on the ship. Plan, plan, plan!!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Cozumel, Mexico

Our excursion was cancelled and we were left at the last minute to find something to do. While the people in Cozumel were nice I was disappointed with the food and beach we went to. The inflatables in the water were black with mold in some areas so I didn’t feel comfortable using them. Also, relaxation was a bit tough since we were constantly interrupted by locals trying sell stuff.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

I was less impressed with Costa Maya. The Port area is beautiful and up to date but San Fernando beach was disappointing. Each “property” essentially blocked off their portion of the beach so you have to stay in the area designated to the property you are on which limits the space you have to roam and swim in. Here the constant barrage of people selling items was too much. Worse than in Cozumel! After 2 hrs my family and I returned to the ship because we couldn’t take it anymore.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Mayan Princess was so beautiful. The people were so nice and welcoming. I really enjoyed the security that was offered and getting to know the locals. Brian was our guide and he did a great job ensuring everyone was having a good time. He even stayed on the beach with us in case we needed anything.
