Our family of 8 had a fantastic time and will certainly cruise again. There were some challenges along the way but we were on vacation. The Carnival Cooking classes are a great new addition to the ship.

Food and Dining

I was so excited to be back to sailing but was not impressed with the food. The service was amazing but food was hit or miss. The main dining room and specialty restaurants were just ok. Our family loved Emeril’s, Shaq’s chicken and Guys. Really wasn’t impressed with Chibang. Lots of choices though and we didn’t go hungry.
Onboard Activities

Lots of activities every day. The Bolt was fun but not something I would do repeatedly at $15 per person.
Entertainment

The musical acts and stage shows were amazing. The magician was awful. Wanted to go to a comedy show but the lines were always so long. Interesting that this ship is so much bigger but the entertainment venues stayed the same size.
Service and Staff

Service and staff throughout the entire ship were polite and attentive. I think they’re as happy to be back on board as we are.
Ship Quality

Cleanliness is top notch. Some of the design makes me think that some things will have be adjusted. The lights on the floor steps in the Mardi Gras theater are placed mid tread, not on the edge of the tread. In one show I saw three people fall going down the stairs. The layout of the ship is so different from all of the other ships and I didn’t find it intuitive and continually looked at the maps. The auto open/close bathroom doors in the common area are an exercise in patience.
I loved the multi level theater is the center of the ship with the moving screens. Loved the new French Quarter area and the new bars.
Cabin / Stateroom

My husband and I had a suite and really enjoyed the additional space and bigger bathroom. There was a water leak in our cabin on day 4 and from then on we had two big blowers running all day. Also had engineers and guest services representatives in and out. Our state room attendant was wonderful and so upset with the issues with our cabin.
Ship tip
Be adventurous and try all of the new food and drink offerings.
Glad you enjoyed your cruise. In spite of some significant issues, you made the best of it and didn't let it spoil your vacation. I'm sure the stateroom Attendant was appreciative. Thank you!
