Review summary

Overall I would not like to be on this ship at full capacity. It felt cramped at less than 60%. Most venues are small and crowded especially at night when everyone is onboard. It would be a great ship with less venues and more space!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It went quick. Was on the ship in less than 30 minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Loved Rudi's Seafood, Cucina, Big Chicken, Guy's BBQ and Guy's Burgers. ChiBang's food was good but it was way too noisy! I couldn't hear my husband that was sitting next to me!!

Bonsai Teppanyaki

4 out of 5

Food tasted great, the show was only so-so compared to other ships and cruise lines.

Chibang!

3 out of 5

Food was good. Atmosphere was terrible! Way too loud! I couldn't hear my husband next to me!!

The Brass Magnolia

4 out of 5

Nice but the chairs were way too close to each other and hard to get around.

Street Eats

2 out of 5

Most of the time it was closed.

Seafood Shack

4 out of 5

The steamed shrimp were great but the fish and chips were way too greasy!!

Rudi's Seagrill

5 out of 5

The Island Spice is a must have drink!! I wish I could have gotten it elsewhere on the ship! The food was great also!

Palm Restaurant

5 out of 5

Sea Day Brunch was great!

JavaBlue Cafe

3 out of 5

They need more than 1 register especially for people who just want to pick up a bottled drink and go. The lines were too long!!

Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse / Brewhouse

5 out of 5

Food was great except for the chicken- avoid it! It way over done!!

Guy's Burger Joint

5 out of 5

Awesome and never crowded just hard to get to if you have mobility problems.

Fortune Teller Bar

1 out of 5

The Russian bar tender needs to learn that lime juice is a fruit! My husband asked her multiple times for a drink with no fruit because he is allergic to fruit so she makes him a drink with lime juice in it!!

Cucina del Capitano

5 out of 5

Awesome as always!

BlueIguana Cantina

5 out of 5

With all the food venues, this was rarely busy and was able to get food quick!

Big Chicken by Shaq

5 out of 5

This is definitely the best chicken at sea!!!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Loved the Serenity area!

Cloud 9 Spa & Thermal Suites

5 out of 5

Awesome but crowded at times.

Serenity Adult-Only area

5 out of 5

Love the layout and a lot of places to sit but can get crowded on sea days.

Mardi Gras Casino

5 out of 5

I love the layout!!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Center Stage Band was awesome!! Too bad they are no longer there!

Mardi Gras Theater

3 out of 5

Too small!!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Most waiters were nice and friendly but one waiter in the casino was very rude to my friends when my friends ordered a drink from another waiter.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The layout is terrible for people who are wheelchair bound like my husband. The elevators are too small along with the bathrooms in the staterooms!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
This is a wheelchair accessible room with a pole at the foot of the bed. The shower is too small for an accessible room.

Ship tip

The only decks that go from front to aft are 6, 7, 8 and 16

I too feel like the ship is comfortable at reduced capacity and am concerned about how crowded it might be at full capacity. A counterpoint thought though: full capacity and no Covid protocols will mean a lot more families with kids. So potentially the lido deck and family functions will be more crowded without adding a lot more adults to the bars and specialty restaurants. Just a thought; only time will tell!

We felt the same way about the Vista. Venues were too small and so were the elevators.

Thanks for the review. We are booked for next year and beginning to be concerned about the size of cabins and venues.

Rooms are too small.Venues are too small. Its going to get really crowded at full capacity! And I don't mind spending money but the price of Bolt is too much for the ride!

Appreciate your feedback. I had already decided that this ship is not for me. You confirmed my opinion.

Agree, at 100% it is going to crowded. At 6O% certain areas were jammed packed. And I have no idea who approved shrinking the bathrooms down so much was a good idea. It is so small you can be taking a dump and brushing your teeth at the same time.
