Review summary

This was my first time cruising. My wife and I wanted to get away before having our third child—and this was a great week for that! We spent every day either sitting on the top deck relaxing, reading, or napping. The ship was fun to walk around, though we skipped many of the entertainment/activities. Our favorite part of the cruise was the food and hospitality. Glad we could get a Starbucks latte once (or twice) a day. We also had incredible service in the dining room every night. Our stops for the cruise were mostly spent on beaches we found or walking around. It was so relaxing and we will be cruising again in the future!

Embarkation

First time ever on a cruise. It was a great experience I look forward to doing again soon.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate dinner in the Moonlight Diner every evening—it was one of our favorite experiences of the cruise. Windjammer has great selections to grab food for lunch: pizza and burgers were a must. Got a drink package that benefitted us with drinks for lunch, by the pool, and Starbucks coffee evrery day. Many morning got breakfast in the dining room after watching sunrise. Banana pancakes and french toast were the bomb.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We played ping pong on the deck, played cards in Boleros, went to Family Feud & Battle of the Sexes. Other than that, we did not do many onboard activities. The ones we did were all fun. Was hoping there would be putt putt.

Entertainment

Wanted more free time without kids or distractions to be together, relax, or read.

Children's Programs

Didn't bring kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Joseph was an incredible waiter—attentive, helpful, kind, thoughtful. Made dinner one of our favorite experiences of the cruise. We would regularly chat about our days and our families. He was such a bright and enjoyable person to see every day. So appreciate to have our room cleaned TWICE a day! Dewa was extremely attentive and intuitive. I thought I lost my wedding ring in the room one day and mentioned it to another room steward. I found it later, but Dewa made a point to make sure I found it, letting me know he always checks before taking trash or sheets from the room that there are no valuables.

Ship tip

Can often find quiet spots on the very top deck of the ship to relax. Great views from the from and back of the ship away from the crowds at the pool.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Departed from here. Was a little crowded and chaotic but thousands of people are boarding ship.

Key West, Florida

Great to explore by walking around. Fun shopping and sites. Beaches were a bit rocky. No excursions.

Nassau, Bahamas

Walked around for 15 minutes and was super overwhelmed by the people heckling us. Wasn't interested in any shopping and excursions. Took a taxi to Cabbage Beach and sat out the entire day—was incredible!

Disembarkation

they were a little late to port because of engine issues, but this did not affect our travel plans
