Review summary
We decided to try Royal Caribbean because it fit better into our calender and budget. We have done 9 cruises with Disney Cruise Line and we still view Disney as the best. However, Royal Caribbean did a great job with this cruise. So much so, that we have booked another RC cruise over the Christmas holiday. I would recommend giving RC a try.
Embarkation

Well organized and efficient
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The Windjammer Cafe had a wide variety of food choices at all meals. We intentional did not eat in the main dining room until day 3. Unfortunately, the food taste was average.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We went cruising to relax so we didn't do many activities. We did participate in cupcake decorating which was surprisingly fun and most of the participants were adults. My had a massage that she said was very satisfying.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Overall the service was good. Our room steward was exceptional and the wait staff was also exceptional. Unfortunately, our head waiter in the Moonlight Dining Room was poor. He only came to the table to take our order and then he checked back once. The assistant waiter did most of the work including bringing the food, etc.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The Majesty of the Seas is an older ship but is still maintained quite well. This ship is not very handicap accessible. There are many areas that have steps to climb to access them. Also, all the elevators don't go to the all the decks so you have to know what elevator to take for the deck you want.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
We knew coming in that this was an interior room with a porthole window. However, it was even smaller than we realized. The shower was small enough that it is difficult to turn around in it. There is very little walking space around the queen bed.
Ship tip
Try to book a room larger than an inside stateroom so you will have more comfort.
While Royal Caribbean trys to be organized by dismissing people by group number, I think it would be better for them to just let people get off as they are ready. This way you avoid the long lines we experenced getting off on this cruise.
