Review summary
Honestly, I am thinking about going back to Carnival Cruises after this one. I look forward to the shows and formal dinner nights. Plus we like the options of several speciality restaurants, that this ship clearly did not have.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was an easy process as long as you have your papers filled out.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The main dining room's food was decent, however they didn't have lobster or prime rib for formal night. The speciality restaurant, which was Johnny Rockets, only had one server and she took over 20 minutes just to get our drink order. The buffet was great and always had staff tending to it. The room service was prompt, however they served brown strawberries and warm yogurt.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The pools were great and we LOVED the splash pad for our 1 year old, however they decided to place the smoking section in front of that area, so clearly we couldn't sit directly across the place where we wanted to be.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
I am very sad to say that the entertainment was not great. I usually love seeing all of the singing and dancing, but on this ship all they did was comedy (which wasn't bad) and game shows.
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
Loved the kid's club, just wish they had more open play times, for those who are not old enough to enjoy on their own.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiter at the dining room was fabulous and always respectful.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship is older and the layout is alright. The common areas were extremely clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Smaller room than other ships I have been on. Clearly it was outdated, but always clean and tidy.
Ship tip
If you are sailing on Majesty, it must be for the ports you want to visit, not the ship.
We did the excursion called Havanas Bucket List. It was a nine hour tour and the tour guide was smart and had us to the walking part in the morning since it was cooler. It was a long tour but hit a lot of different things in Cuba. The lunch provided was amazing and gave more food than expected.
The cruise ship said our time to get off, on our own with our luggage was from 8:15-8:30, and they made an announcement at 7:45 that that was the last call. Clearly that wasn't fun rushing breakfast.

Thanks for review- we'll be sailing on majesty in Feb with 6 year old. Stinks about smoking by water area because that's probably where we'll spend most of the time and all nonsmokersπ poor design. Thanks again for being honest during review and not sugar coating it. π΄πβ΅πππΉππ¦π
The old ships in every line are used for small ports like Cuba. You have to know when booking what expectations are in terms of onboard activities and space.
