Review summary

This is the third time I have been on this ship and I thought it would be a good cruise to introduce our friend to cruising as it was a small ship and a short cruise. With all the problems we had in the dining room, our room and not be able to go to Coco Cay she has decided that cruising is not for her. We will never go on this ship again and may choose a different cruise line for our next cruise

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was fast and easy as we walked our luggage onboard. Bad thing was you couldn't get to your room until after 1pm so had to lug your bags with you until then

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
the food in the main dining room came out cold almost every night for one or more of us and our tablemates. When we complained to the supervisor he just yelled at the waiter and we had to cal him over and tell him it wasn't the waiters fault but the kitchen's fault. 'the last night we got to speak to the Maitre'd and he brought the chef out and all he did was shake his head and not say a word.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
the comedian and the stage shows were excellent, great talent

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
aside from the waiters and room steward the rest of the staff seemed disinterested. I realize this is the oldest ship in the fleet but the staff acts like it's their last voyage.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
smell of sewage in the halls leading to the room and no water one night late

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
the Pullman bed was not sufficient for an adult. when I got in it I felt like it was going to fall. when I called the customer service desk they first told me the weight limit on it was 150lbs and after I told them that I am 22lbs they changed the limit to 240lbs. The supervisor of the room stewards came by on the third day and said it was 300lb limit and said he would send another bed topper for the mattress as we were sleeping on the floor but it never arrived.

Ship tip

Don't sail on this ship, choose another ship.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Nassau hasn't changed much and have been here too many times

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island) Did not visit port

too much wind to tender to the beach, another dissappointment

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
was able to go to breakfast and then get our bags from the room and walk off. Only bad thing was having to walk all the way around the dining room even though there wasn't a line

Sorry to hear that, I was just on the majesty in July and it was nothing short of amazing

Think they're gonna retire Majesty soon? We went in May and bathroom had moldy smell (I have bad allergies and asthma). The steward changed shower curtains... helped some but cabin next to us took shower, some of the water would come in ours. Think they were having plumbing issues but it's a cheap quick getaway so I guess we got what we paid for. NCL is our favorite but not many options as far as ports like carnival ☹️🛳️🍹🎉

That is a shame... don’t let one time turn you away... we go back nice a month on Majesty and we love her... we have had a problem once in the dining room and we wrote it in the survey that they send you... tell your friends not to judge one cruise... try another cruise... try a bigger ship... we love the Oasis...
