Review summary

Since this is a smaller ship, it rocks a little more when it's windy. This bothers some people but we were fine. The elevators get very busy so we take the stairs as much as possible. If you like to walk, this is great exercise. If you don't, get a room closer to the dining rooms, central part of the ship, and show rooms. The casino is fun, but very smoky since it's one of the places smoking is allowed on the ship. Overall, it was a great cruise.

Embarkation

It was quick and efficient

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and drinks are comparable to the larger ships.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We only had one full day that we stayed on the ship and the day passed quickly.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows are fun, entertaining, and worth attending. The singers and band were enjoyable and seemed to really enjoy their jobs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service staff and kind, pleasant to talk to, very committed to their jobs. I appreciated hearing about all that Royal Caribbean is doing to help rebuild the areas affected by the hurricanes.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This is an older ship and is starting to show its age. At first appearance it is clean and well-maintained, but after awhile we started to notice some things that needed attention (sturdiness of the chair in the cabin, broken tiles in the shower, rips in the carpet). But, that is why we got such a good deal on the price and why it's good for a short cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It's nice to have a room on level 9 because it's closer to everything. Our second part of the cruise had the cabin on level 3 and it wasn't as nice of a room.

Ship tip

We did the continuous cruise, 4 nights during the week and 3 nights over the weekend. The weekend cruise is completely different in atmosphere! The week is more laid back, relaxing, and less activity because the route is slower for an extra day at sea. The weekend is everything packed into a few days and the people on the boat are ready for a weekend of partying. We enjoyed both.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

3 out of 5
We sat at Fish Lips Bar on Sunday to watch football and it was a blast!

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
This is a beautiful island! My husband did the jet ski experience and really enjoyed it. I loved the hammock and walking along the beach.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We did the land and sea excursion. The tour around the area on the catamaran was fun! The guide was informative and entertaining. The ride on the bus around the city was interesting.

Disembarkation

This process was messed up on both of our cruises. We were given the wrong luggage tags after both cruises. Fortunately, we were able to stay on top of it and figure it out ourselves or who knows where our luggage would have ended up. I'm going to try to pack minimally the next time and carry my own luggage instead of trusting it to their system.
