Review summary

If the staff on this ship would have taken care of issues this cruise would have been better but when you child is injured because of their neglect and they say there's going to be extra charges for you, give me a break! And when you paid for your child to enjoy the trip but she's constantly told she can't play here everywhere she goes then what's the point? We actually thought At one point staff was going to call security on us because we were trying to explain the situation to them. If you have kids don't waste your money on Royal Carribean.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was so easy and well organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Dining rooms were clean and waitstaff was polite however waitstaff was not made aware of important food allergies and as a result a member of our family was left with only one real safe food that they could order and eat and even that was served one night contaminated with the food that she was allergic to. Waitstaff and chef apologized and corrected the issue but there needs to be accommodations made for food allergies.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We visited the pools but we had a small child that was excluded by staff from enjoying the pools because in order for her to play in the kid area she had to wear a diaper even though she's potty trained. Got her to wear the diaper and then she couldn't go in the kids wading pool because she was wearing the diaper. We attended a few shows which were great.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
The adventures club was great. The teen club however had staff encouraging our young teenagers (13) to ask for private areas to be alone with the opposite sex.

Cabin / Stateroom

We found someone else's dirty underwear in our cabin closet and my daughter had her leg cut open on the side of the bed.

Ship tip

Share a tip about our ship? Don't cruise with royal Carribean! Guest services has nothing they can do for you, ever. 2 of my kids sustained injuries while aboard, one was cut by the bed on the first day of our cruise and the other had painful chemical burns / rashes from the pool on the last day of our cruise. I was served a meal that I was allergic to after I made sure to read the menu very carefully and had notified royal Caribbean of my food allergy at time of booking and before boarding.

Other than the Disney cruise lines, cruises aim to please adults because adults are the main attraction. They add kid clubs as babysitting tools so that the parents can be free. My godchild is a reader, so I'm blessed with not having to find arcades, or kid clubs for her. She also likes to run around the track with me.

My first cruise 8 years ago was on RC and I enjoyed, but since then I have cruised on Carnival with my son & family. In June him& his wife were going to be @ a conference in Disney, his daughter @ camp...so I took the 11 yr old on RC Majesty of the Seas. Ship & crew were fine, he doesn't like kids clubs(doesn't on Carnival either) and it was pretty boring for him. Arcade wasn't much bigger than a closet, 5 games and 1 out of order. No trivia or shows during the day. I hope the bigger ships have more entertainment for kids.

Leave your bad ass kids at home

Let me guess, they wouldn't let your kid play in the casino, solarium, or any of the bars. The on board doctor is an independent contractor, no matter who is at fault you pay him, it's why you get insurance.
