Review summary

Sat in the miserable port in Florida when we were supposed to be on a private island. Didn't see one beach or even got a tan. Completely worthless! Cabin falling apart. Had to fix toilet once or twice a day, light fixture fell down while in cabin. Missing safe and other things that were in others rooms.

Ship Quality

Old and had nothing to do since we were stuck on it the whole time

Cabin / Stateroom

Toilet never worked.

Ship tip

Don't go! Royal Caribbean was my favorite cruising choice until now. Complete waste of money. We got 25% credit that only covered mandatory tips. The only thing I got for wasting my vacation time and money was food. Never saw a beach, or had a chair to lounge on while stuck on a boat for 5 days.

Ports of call

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Never ported on the island.

Nassau, Bahamas

Didn't port till after 1pm. Not able to debark until after 2pm. Too late to get beach time or a tan. Had to be back on board by 5pm to get ready for parents 50th anniversary dinner scheduled for 6pm

It can't be that bad. You are on a ship not working, don't have to cook and make your bed. Let's be positive.

There are tanning opportunities on the ship. I have seen bad rooms: whistling balcony doors and continuous vibrations. I hope they offered you a different stateroom or at least fixed your issues. That tan thing: better to be pale under sunscreen than to risk burns and skin cancer later in your life.

You know what I find amazing? I have been on maybe 27 cruises and never had a bad one! Some were better than others, sure, but never a bad cruise.
