Review summary
We had an outside room on a higher deck and it was larger than some rooms we’ve experienced on other cruise lines. But by today’s standards the amenities are not up to par. The only late night areas to grab a snack are not easily accessible with no elevators near them. For a person with mobility issues, as I, it can be a challenge. On the elevators, there were many times that the crew took a number of the elevators out of service for their use and due to the very limited number of elevators on this ship that was a HUGE issue.
On the amenities, there was a small TV with few channels in our room as well as the suites that we were in. Though maintenance fixed our shower after we reported it, when we arrived it was cracked with green gunk around the cracks, tell me it was not new, that spayed you in the eyes. Also in the shower there was a bulk dispenser with what appeared to be shower gel, but no shampoo in sight.
At every turn Royal Caribbean appeared to offer paid upgrades from basic Espresso to dining at Johnny Rockets with not only paying additional for the food, As a seasoned frequent traveler we have not written off RC after our first experience on them. But we would not revisit the Majesty of the Seas unless it goes through a major rehab. One never wants to spend hard earned money for a sub par experience.UT a cover charge!

Departed on 1/11 (Majesty of the seas ) not the best experience. Observed staff using low grade alcohol for drinks that were advertised have top shelf liqueur. Half the staff at the bars were friendly and the other half seemed miserable. Bahamas is nightmare, harassed every five steps and of course that was the longest day at port. Coca island was ok but again bad service and again observed staff using bottom shelf liqueur. Key west was amazing but not enough time at port. Thursday woke up and had a fever of 103 and when I got back to PA I went to the Emergency Room and I have bronchitis and some virus or bacteria. Night life entertainment was boring and the same song and dance. I suggest mixing things up. Will never do again. Sorry but I'm telling the truth.
