Review summary

The decor seems a bit dated, although some of the public areas (The Chorus Line Theater, the Starlight Dining Room) are fairly attractive. Again, the plus seems to be the friendly staff and a genuine attempt to creative a fun, relaxing atmosphere.

Take the bus ($1.25 each way) to Fish Fry, a group of colorful restaurants on the beach. We had the freshest, most delicious cracked conch -- a wonderful meal. I'd asked for a recommendation on the ship and they'd suggestedt The Hard Rock Cafe -- really? Enough with the payola already! Someone in our party asked the taxi driver for a recommendation, and that's how we found Fish Fry.
Don't Miss: We took the Segway tour through the alleged nature preserve. A great opportunity and location to ride a Segway. Don't go for the alleged biodiversity.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

I think there needs to be more cruise staff involvement here ... beaches are not guarded, and we saw sharks, stingrays and barracuda in the shallows. Staff is fairly disinterested at this stop. Not a huge fan of the "private island" experience.

Pros: Friendly staff; sitting on the deck reading, looking at the ocean; multiple dining options

Cons: The relentless shakedown for you to spend more money; not enough/slow elevators; tiny, packed pools
