Review summary

The ship was very nice. It had all the amenities we had hoped for. The most awesome part of the trip was CocoCay!! It was sooooo beautiful and relaxing. We could have stayed there forever!! Nassau was also very fun. Not so much relaxing but was a great experience. I had read previous reviews about the straw market being kind of scary, but we found it quite enjoyable and a whole different experience. Our waiter wasn't the best, but it didn't ruin our trip, we had a blast. We were disappointed the last night, we hadn't had a chance to use the pool or hot tubs, and planned on doing that the last night. Went up to the pool deck about 9:30pm the last night and the pools and hot tubs were closed down for cleaning for the cruise the next day and they were using hoses to spray the floors and chairs on the deck, so we couldn't even use that deck at all. But overall, the cruise was a great first experience for us!! I highly recommend it, you can't beat the value of this trip.

Food and Dining

We didn't have the best waiter. On two occasions our waiter forgot to bring us something we ordered (second dessert and coffee) and we were celebrating our anniversary and were supposed to get a special dessert the second night, never got it. We were also supposed to have private seating but was placed at a regular table.

Ports of call

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Don't miss this port!!! Walk a little farther than the first beach you see. We walked quite a ways around the island and had a nice little secluded area. We saw alot of sea life in the less crowded areas. Saw two sand sharks(small, 1 ft.,nothing scary) , stingray, jellyfish, and lots of other types of fish, all in knee deep water!! It was an awesome and safe way to see some ocean creatures!! Then pulled our lounge chairs into the water and just relaxed. We didn't want to leave!

Nassau, Bahamas

Had a great time, totally different experience than CocoCay. More busy this day, but enjoy it. Paradise Island is beautiful, water was quite a bit rougher than CocoCay. The straw market was alot of fun, don't forget to bargain!!!
