Our First Cruise Experience

Sail Date: August 15, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

We sailed on Majesty of the Seas. It was our first cruise. It was really fun. We sailed with two kids of our own and there were two other families with two kids each. The kids loved the fact that they could eat the whole day. Overall, it was nice first time experience. One strong advice, please do not go on this cruise with kids under 3. Except for 45 minutes of Fisher Price play group, there is nothing.

Pros: Very courteous staff

Cons: Could have had more entertainment shows.

Recommends Majesty of the Seas? Yes!

Children's Programs
No activities for kids under 3. Even for kids age 7+ the activities were not that good. They used to get bored after 2 or 3 hours. Baby sitter was not available. There was a big waiting list and we never got to utilize this service.
Ship Quality
It was nice and clean. Newly refurbished.
Food and Dining
Lots and lots to eat. We are vegetarians. So there was not much options other than pizza and salad. Marinara sauce for spaghetti was very sour. Desserts were awesome!!
Cabin / Stateroom
Rooms are clean and well maintained.
Service and Staff
The staff on whole cruise was very courteous and polite.
Entertainment
Could have had more shows than just Bingo.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Excellent!! Lots of activities.
Don't Miss: Parasailing - It's beautiful.
Nassau, Bahamas
Not much to do. Please do not take that land tour. There is nothing other than some old building. Atlantis hotel was nice. There are water parks and stuff. But we can find those here in US also.
