Review summary

I took this trip just to see what cruising is like in the new COVID world. I was more than pleased. Will definitely cruise again.

Embarkation

Very smooth and much quicker than I expected. We did have priority but there was only a short line for normal check in

I actually like being served at the buffet and won’t mind at all if they keep that. I miss getting my own drinks though. The MDR was fantastic. I have food allergies and had no problem at all. Only negative was the line to get in despite having a reservation.

We loved the comedian. The magician was only so so. We don’t really go to production shows anymore having seen so many over the years. They all seem the same. But I heard other guests enjoyed them.

Service and Staff

Overall very good. Only issue was getting drinks. My husband has a medical condition that requires him to drink 4 liters of water daily. The first few days they would only bring glasses to us. At one point we had over 20 empty glasses in our cabin to fill his water bottle. Finally I complained to the “right” person and they started bringing us a pitcher 2 x a day. That worked well.

Ship Quality

Wonderful. We love this class of ship. Cleanliness seemed to be spot on. Another thing that I liked is that they offered but did not harass me about the sanitizer. I will happily wash my hands at every opportunity and do. But I have an allergy to alcohol and the sanitizer gives me hives. On other ships I have been made to feel bad for refusing even though I say I am allergic.

They only clean once a day now. I didn’t mind that but did miss the candies.
