Review summary

The trip was nice. The crew was good, the ports of call where interesting and fun. Alaska is beautiful to visit. I can’t say I would do another cruise but that is just because I’d rather vacation in other ways. This was not a trip for families with younger children. Definitely more aligned to a more mature group. The Medallion app has multiple bugs that need to be fixed as it could be difficult to use and sometimes did not work properly.

Food in the main restaurants was good. We did not pay the extra fees for the specialty restaurants. The food at the World Marketplace was average.

Onboard Activities

Was too cold to use pools. I did not find a lot of activities suited for my interests but others in my group enjoyed some of them.

Entertainment

There was little that interested me. We did not attend the live shows.

Staff was very good. Service was at a high level.

Ship was clean and well maintained. It did take a day or two to learn how to find the ways to different areas.

Small but comfortable. Steward / cleaning service was very good.

Ship tip

Understand what you get with what you pay. Additional fees for beverages, internet, dining, shire trips, etc.

Disembarkation

Disembarking at the stops on the trip was easy and organized. Disembarking when we returned to Seattle was crazy with little direction provided. Had different crew members giving different instructions and not many helping to direct traffic.

Apparently this was your first cruise (by your suggestion that you may not cruise again). That perfectly understandable. Cruising isn’t for everyone. You gave it a try, so good for you. Hope you find a vacation experience that fits you better.

Another reviewer with no cruises. Surprised that the pool was not heated, I always was able to do my morning swim (except for the few days the water was not staying in the pool and they drained and closed it)

You are full of contradictions. Board was easy but you didn't score high. You went to Alaska, but complain that the pool is too cold to swim
