Review summary

Was very underwhelmed. We had been expecting big things following the hype about the brand new ship. We found that the crew while friendly seemed overwhelmed. On a number of occasions our room wasn’t serviced until late in the day. On one occasion is wasn’t done until after dinner. We found it very crowded and it was almost impossible to get a seat in the public areas. On a number of occasions we took our drinks or food back to our room as there was nowhere to sit. Service in the dining room was very slow. On one occasion our table spent over 2 hours at dinner. Food was never served hot always luke warm. We were very disappointed with the buffet area. Not a great deal of choice and again the hot food was not kept hot which is a health hazard. We had two of our pre booked tours cancelled supposedly through lack of numbers and the final disappointment was to miss the fiords. We felt this was pre planned since there were presentations on every port before arriving but the fiords presentation was after we missed it. To make matters worse they were selling a dvd of the presentation and expected us to pay $60 for it. Would not recommend the Majestic Princess. Will stick to the smaller ships in future.

Not long came back from New Zealand, Majestic was amazing, she definitely lives up to her name. Captain Dino prides himself on getting to every port, I heard you were running into a very big swell for the fjords and that is why you never went in, you cant blame the captain for the weather. I would definitely go back on the Majestic in a heart beat, i think your review is harsh, we had an amazing time, on an amazing ship with an amazing captain and crew

We're on the ship in March as well, and whilst food is a concern, how well was the bar stocked?

Disappointed to see the food problem. You sailed in Nov '18 so they can't blame new ship teething errors for that. I'm doing NZ in March 🤔

There have been many cruise unable to get into fiords this is not pre planned it is called weather conditions.
