Review summary

Maasdam is showing signs of its age. The hot tubs never worked right even 1 day of the cruise. The rotterdam dining room was a shocker. We have cruised with HAL 5 times in the past and each was superb. The cabin and steward, as well as the entertainment, food on lido, and ports of call were excellent. For some reason the dining room supervisor wanted to blame our getting the food late 2 nights in a row on our waiters. Did not fit because the food was fresh and hot when it got to us. Had to be the kitchen in my book. we avoided further disappointments and just ordered room service or at at lido

the ales in the microbreweries were exquisite. and they let you take a few on board when you reboard the ship. i did not push it. only took 6 dark ales aboard.
Don't Miss: museum with titanic artifacts, microbreweries

we took the walking tour of old town with a wine tasting. perfect for what we were looking for. a very knowledgable guide. fantastic place to view architectural changes over time. the wines were quite good for as new as the wineries are.
Don't Miss: the architectural divisions being so close and perfect
