Review summary

It was such an amazing vacation. I am grateful to have spent one more week with the beautiful ship Liberty of the Seas. Alas, she will be moving ports to Florida in November. I will cherish my memories with her and her crew. Thank you Royal Caribbean and the staff and crew of Liberty of the Seas. May God bless you in your journeys.

Embarkation

Simple. It was hot. If anything they need more shaded area for passengers to stand under while the wait. However the New terminal will be opening soon and I’m sure all will be well

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
In the MDR - The food was delicious. There seemed to be a bit of disorganization the first 2 days, but I’m sure that’s not uncommon. It ran very smoothly the rest of the cruise! The MDR staff went above and beyond to make our time amazing. Windjammer - The food was decent, I prefer a sit down dining experience. The staff seemed a little less connected with the passengers. I ALWAYS love the cake on Day 1 and Day 7. What a awesome way to tell your customers Thanks!

Cabin / Stateroom

It was nice. Being my first promenade view room it was a great treat. Loved watching the going’s on. I will say one drawback was (especially on Friday and Saturday) the last night entertainment sounds did carry up to my room. But it was faint, a mild inconvenience..

Ship tip

Be prepared for changes. We, unfortunately, were sailing the same time Ian was passing through the Caribbean up to Florida 😞 Our original itinerary was Cozumel, Jamaica and Grand Cayman. Then they canceled Cozumel, then changed it again we ended up going to Cozumel and Costa Maya. Anything is possible when you’re cruising during hurricane season… I had a blast despite the changes

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

I live here. As usual it’s a beautiful city.

Cozumel, Mexico

I did not leave the ship. It is a beautiful port. I love the views. But, this is my third cruise this year and Cozumel was on every itinerary. Of all the ports that I would have possibly gotten off, this would be my last choice. The vendors are extremely pushy. I just don’t like being followed around and feel pressured.

George Town, Grand Cayman Did not visit port

Port was canceled due to damage from hurricane Ian

Falmouth, Jamaica Did not visit port

Port was canceled due to itinerary changes caused by hurricane ian

So easy. I love the facial recognition. The last thing you wanna have to do is stop and show me your passport and any other credentials.
