Review summary

We had a wonderful, relaxing cruise. We were not far at all from hurricane Ian but Captain James was able to keep us in the sun and safe. The seas didn’t even get that rough! The entire crew on board Liberty is friendly and helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I love the food and service in the main dining room. As someone who frequents the same ship many times it would be nice if they rotated their menus.

Sorrento's Pizza

5 out of 5

Sorrentos is the best! The pizza tastes great and it is the perfect way to end your night after going to the club and dancing. It’s also a great option when you want to have a lite lunch.

Johnny Rockets

5 out of 5

There is a small fee to eat at Johnny Rockets. It was about $14 each person. But the food is wonderful! We had a chili cheese dog and a hamburger with the most delicious onion rings ever. It was just like being at a 50s diner! My only complaint is that the jukebox at the table didn’t work. And the milkshakes were divine!

Windjammer Marketplace

5 out of 5

The Windjammer restaurant always has so many options and all are tasty. They even have a gluten-free options for those who need it. The only problem is that he gets very crowded at times but that is to be expected. We were on a full ship! There is always plenty of crew around to help when needed.

Café Promenade

5 out of 5

Best coffee on the ship! And lots of Yummies too!!

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Unfortunately during Saturday Night Fever they experienced technical difficulties twice so we didn’t get to finish the show. We did see In the Air and that was completely amazing! The Battle of the Sexes game was lots of fun.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Liberty needs to be updated but I know that is in the plans soon. But she is always sparkling clean. The crew never stops working to keep her spic and span! I love the promenade area and never want to go on another ship that doesn’t have one.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nothing beats a balcony state room so you can look at the beautiful blue water and feel the wind blowing. You get to view the sunrises, sunsets and the stars at night. We had plenty of drawers, shelves and cubbies to fit all of our belongings. Suitcases fit comfortably under the beds so they are not in the way all week long.

Ship tip

Make sure to get outside and enjoy the sunrises, sunsets, and go up to the heliport at night to see all the beautiful stars!

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

If you want a relaxing day at the beach I highly suggest Playa MIA Grand Beach break. Chankanaab Day Pass is not a beach break. There is a beach but there is no place where you can walk from the sand into the water. And it’s full of huge boulders and rocks. We were very disappointed.

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
We did not do any sightseeing in Galveston because we live so close but you certainly can. The terminal is very easy to get to. We had no traffic problems.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We are always self assist disembarkation. So we walked down to deck 4 and walked straight off the ship. We didn’t stop at customs. It was a very speedy disembarkation.
