Review summary

This being our first cruise, we did not know the procedures or what to expect. The cruise was good and has given us a baseline. We hope to go on another cruise.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Hot & frustrating. We were told Numerous times by RC to BE ON TIME. We were and had to stand in a line, in the hot sun, for at least 45 minutes. No notice was taken of anyone's embarkation time. No one was sorting When Your Embarkation time was. An hour later there was no line at all. Why??? Also, we were unprepared for the chaos once we got inside the terminal. Not a great first experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We found a lot of the food lacking flavor. We were hoping to find some Wow Factor but did not. The ship's coffee was yucky. Spent money getting Starbucks.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Karaoke & Trivia & Mixology & Wine Tasting - Yes we enjoyed these activities. The mixology and wine tasting were very good. We really enjoy Karaoke but wish it would've been more than an hour.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ice show was very good.

Children's Programs

We didn't have any children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staff were excellent. Ni, Anthea and Richard in the Schooner Bar took excellent care of us and we were in that bar A LOT. Imade was our cabin steward and did a great job. The table servers we had were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed Washy Washy(Stacian) and Juliana at the entrance to the buffet.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was a bit dated but we knew beforehand that it would be. It did not take away from the cruise for us. Having never been on a cruise before we do not know what to expect as ship layout and design. All areas we visited were clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was very adequate. Cleanliness was very good. Closet had a bit of an odor. I put charcoal bags and febreezed it to help.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
We would not take the Jade Cavern ATV trip again. It did not live up to what was advertised. Would like to go back and explore Cozumel more.

George Town, Grand Cayman

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the snorkeling experience. It was our first time. However, and we can't prove this, but we feel we got sick from using the excursions snorkels. Would like to go back and explore the area more.

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
The Falmouth history van ride we took was not worth much. I did enjoy the open air craft market and the live music. Would like to go back and explore the area more.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We did the early transfer to the airport disembarkation. It went very well.

Probably didn't get sick from a snorkel. If you noticed, they put the gear in a big bucket of disinfectant between trips. What kind of symptoms did you have? Was there an open bar on the snorkeling boat?

Welcome to cruising and glad you enjoyed most of it. Some of the cruise lines seem to have given up on trying to enforce arrival times that were more strict during Covid. For the shortest wait time, try to arrive after noon.
