Overall had a great time and enjoyed the cruise. It was somewhat marred by what I found to be indifferent service and a bad cabin choice.

Review summary

Overall it was a great trip and one that I will definitely take again (with a different cabin location or after it dry docks in 2021).

Embarkation

I had Purchased the key and embarkation was smooth and quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food in the Windjammer was rather boring and nothing special. The dining room food was good but again, I didn’t think it was anything special. I ate dinner 6 nights in the MDR. Sorrento’s was good and u loved Johnny Rockets!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I don’t need a lot of entertaining so I probably wouldn’t be a good judge of this. I enjoy just people watching, exploring the ship, and finding a good spot to read. I enjoyed all of those!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Our MDR head and assistant waiters were awesome! They anticipated things before I even asked. That’s where the good dining experience ended. I found the rest of the various dining staff to be indifferent at best, sometimes just downright sullen, no matter how nice I was.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It needed some updates here and there but the design was wonderful. Very easy to navigate. The ship was clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The mirrors were dirty but otherwise it was okay. Dust ruffle kept falling off. I had an aft-facing balcony and that was a mistake on a ship that was experiencing propulsion or stabilizer or some kind of engine reduced capacity. At night they had to travel at top speed and the shaking in my cabin was so bad I he’s to lay things in the floor to keep them from sliding off. Lots of lost sleep.

Ship tip

Don’t get a cabin located in the areas that are affected by engine speeds.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Did the inclusive dolphin/manatee swim. Was the best one I’ve ever done!

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Did VIP Bamboo Beach. It was wonderful and relaxing! My first trip to Jamaica and I’m excited To go back and see more of the island. Wonderful people!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Again, I had the key to it was easy and painless. I self disembarked (mainly because I forgot to put my bag out the night before!!!)
