Our cruise was great for us. Yes we had some down sides. Room steward sucked, but the rest of the staff made up for it. Our view from the balcony was AMAZING!! Food in the MDR was always hot and extra yummy!!! Learned that if we return to Jamaica we will stay in port and enjoy some quiet time on the ship! A cruise really is what you and the other cruisers make it. We had a BLAST!!

Main Dining Room

Orlando and Armiko were BEYOND AMAZING!! By day 2 drinks were already at out table before we were. And our 6 yr olds fruit plate was ready to go as we sat down. Couldn't of asked for better service!!!
Windjammer Marketplace

Whomever the head chef is, needs to learn how to portion SPICES! Beef stew should NOT be as spicy as the cajun chilli chicken. Actually beef stew shouldn't be spicy at all. I got to eat hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch or go to the MDR every day, because I'm allergic to most spices/chillis. By day 6 the food in general was getting pretty LIMITED!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
All of the on board activities were AWESOME! Yes you had to pay for some, the cup cake class was $35. But you get 6 cupcakes to enjoy, and learn a few tricks n tips. Sushi class was fun, also $35 and u get to enjoy sushi lunch that YOU made afterwards. We didn't do clubs bit did parades belly flop contest and karaoke were were ALL amazing!!!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The comedians were AMAZING! My best friends were in Love & Marriage... I'll never think of them the same, CHURCH... REALLY!! LOL... Saturday night fever was AWESOME!!! our 6 yr old LOVED the ice show. Djs played a good variety of music on pool de k and promenade. And I don't think I'll ever have more fun then I did at crazy quest!!!
Service and Staff

MDR staff was AMAZING
Room steward would get a 1 out of 5 stars to me. Our room was only cleaned once a day, no turn down service, no towel animals. We had to hand him our dirty towels in order to get fresh towels. The hallways were consistently littered with food and dirty dishes.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Sadly you can see where the ship is deteriorating. Which is kinda to be expected when its due for referb/dry dock next year. Shes still beautiful, and will always be my favorite, but needs to touch ups in many places.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had an oversized balcony 6682 the room was BEAUTIFUL. Its near the aft so there wasn't a lot of bouncing and swaying. Steward SUCKED but room was great. ONLY wish would have been a softer bed!! The bed is a 6 or 8 inch mattress on a metal platform frame. There is ZERO comfort on that thing!! Hoping with the referb in 2020 the beds come back as pillow top or thicker. 7 nights on that current bed killed my hips and back :-(
Ship tip
A cruise is what you make of it. Pools can get busy on sea days. If its busy go play mini golf. If the bar your near is swamped there's at least 5 more on the ship, go to the next one. Enjoy a movie while sitting in the hot tub. And try the fish of the day at least once!!! Its one of tbe few places you can try and if you don't like get something else without paying more money!!!
We WASTED our money on Place In The Sun excursion. The tour guide and driver John were about the best things of this trip. The beach Doctors cove that they took us to was a PUBLIC bathing pool NOT exclusive or private as they described. Meaning locals could pay $6 to get in. The food was expensive and not good. And every 2 mins you had someone asking you to buy smoke (pot) or blow (COCAINE)!!!! The "shopping" stop ended up being a store they knew the owner of, next to a Burger King, and was BEYOND over priced! Claimed everything 50% off, but the prices after their 'discounts' were more than any store in port!!! Kaychain $7 magnet $6 shirt $30for something in port would be 10-15.
We did Captain Marvin's
Stingray City & snorkel excursion. BY FAR THE BEST EXCURSION WE HAVE EVER DONE!!!! The staff was pleasant, accommodating, and informational!! The equipment was cleaned and sanitized properly. And the snorkeling spot they go to was full of fish, lobsters, turtles, and much more!!! They're NOT thru and cruise line, they're a local excursion. If you go to Cayman, do they're tour! I promise you WONT regret it!!!!
We rented a jeep and found a free beach that turned out to be better than paying for Mr. Sanchos!!! Port was as usual, venders demanding you shop with them, no thank you and keep walking...
We did self assist again this year. Was quick and smooth. Line was expected but we never stopped moving til we broke up for customs lines... If u have more than 2 suit cases or kids I would HIGHLY suggest letting the ship take your luggage! Self assist is SELF meaning you haul your own stuff around, off, and down the ship to customs yourself...
