Review summary

Lots of Texas people on this cruise. We had a great time. Me 41 and my aunt 65. Jeffrey the cruise director is different in my opinion. He is uncouth. He says things on his rant and at activities I would say inappropriate for the children present. I really enjoyed the food, drinks, and shows. Very friendly bartenders and waiters.

Embarkation

We waited a long time to board the ship. Only one gangway was in service.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room food was delicious. Also the windjammer had some great breakfast and lunch.

Café Promenade

4 out of 5

I got a few specialty coffees here. The staff was quick and friendly.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I enjoyed the pools very much. I do wish people wouldn’t save chairs that they never sit in.

Flowrider

5 out of 5

I did not use, but watched others. It was very fun to watch people. And the workers here were very patient and kind to the guests.

Casino Royale

3 out of 5

This place was very smoky which was to be expected. Very busy and great for people watching.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We really enjoyed the broadway show type show Saturday Night Fever, also the cirque de type show. One night there was a comedian/impressionist he was so talented.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room attendant was very good. Also bartenders and restaurant workers were very helpful and nice.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was pretty clean. It seemed really crowded at times. One bathroom in public area was only a one staller.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
There were 2 of us in our room. It was plenty comfortable. We didn’t go on a cruise to stay in the room, but there was room for all of our stuff. It was room 1311. The room was quiet. We noticed no noise from floor above.

Ship tip

I noticed people bringing children to things I wouldn’t take my child to. Shows/ activities.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
This was a beautiful place to visit many nice stores near port. We booked through RC to turtle centre and tour. The Turks place was amazing and our driver Minnish was very funny and knowledgeable. We could’ve skipped Hell it was just a quick silly stop.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
This port is very clean and safe. It is owned by the cruise line and not accessible to everyone. So no hagglers. We went to 1700 plantation home and lunch booked through RC. It was very beautiful. Lunch was delicious.

Disembarkation

This was much quicker. Even though second gangway was still out of service.
