Galveston is an easy port to get on the ship smoothly & easily! Uber took us from the airport to the ship, was all checked in and on board with a drink by 11:30!

Food and Dining

We went to the dining room for breakfast only. Very good food & great service. Very clean & beautiful. Had Windjammer for lunch a few times ... we got there right when it opened so everything was beautiful, fresh and there was a great selection to please everyone! We did the specialty restaurants for dinner. So delicious, exceptional service every night!

Best view on the ship. Usually come here when we leave port and have a glass of wine! Very good service. We are diamond members and the diamond lounge opens at 4:30. Great snacks and views!

We’ve been on this ship a few times now. Yes, she is showing her age in places, but the crew keep her very clean and you always see them cleaning, painting and making sure the passengers are safe.

Cabin / Stateroom

Considering we got a balcony room, it was just fine. We have had the opportunity to be in very large suites so these are small. But we managed! The boys were in the room next to us. Unfortunately we didn’t get a connecting room, but at least we could have the balcony door unlocked so we had easy access to their room!

Ship tip

Don’t let little things bother you! Yes, the first day or two the elevators will be busy, use the stairs! Have patience! People are people and there are all different kinds on cruises! Just smile and keep on going! Talk to people! You will meet people from all over the world ... especially Texas!! We are from Seattle☀️

This is always the part we dislike!! While you are on the ship it seems so disorganized. When you get to were your luggage is, we have found that the porter line is longer ... BUT ... the porter can take you straight to the line for passport/immigration instead of waiting in the long line!!
