Review summary

I felt this cruise was geared to the children. They shut down the promenade several times for parades. They need someone to show them how to set it up so as to not interfere with the traffic flow of the promenade. People would be trying ti shop and they would close everything down and send them away. In some cases racks were pulled away while people were trying to get a tee shirt off to buy. My husband had to put his back. They wouldn't let him pay for it

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room was great food. The windjammer buffet was aweful. Drinks were good but bartenders were not friendly.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Adult pool was too small. Activities were geared towards the children and inconvenienced the adults. Outside movie could only be viewed from the pool level which was full of children

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not enough room in the bar to enjoy the activities The live show was very good

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Dining room and room steward was fantastic, couldn't be more pleased. Some bartenders and shop personnel were very rude.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Our balcony had a glass partition railing. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years. We had to stand at the rail to watch the ocean. We could not enjoy sitting and relaxing .

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Don't go to the cruising seminars. They are only trying to get you to shop in the stores that they get money from.

* To clarify...Pablo went to his room on break and brought the spice back down to the Hoof and Claw and made me the Blood Mary.

Basson61 I believe this is not a fake. This was our first cruise and we embraced every moment. I did notice a flow problem during the parade and other Promenade Events. I enjoyed watching the children light up with excitement but many needed or wanted to get to stores and business and it was blocked off. The embarkment was not a problem at all. No hold ups there for us. Very smooth. The disembarkment line was a bit long but everyone seemed super friendly around me. There was water in 2 places but you had to look to one side and it was not easy to see. So maybe that is what the reviewer was refering too but actually they told use 10am was the time we would star going to the gangway and they were right on tim It did seem like therewas a bit of a hold up but we were gone and on the Highway by 11:15 and that was with us having to go get our car come back and load the luggage. As far as the balcony....well I wish we had one so I can't imagine it being too bad. I had lots of room in the bars I went to and events I engaged in and I am very active and social. The only time I ever felt like someone wasn't overly excited to help me of engage with me was in the Spa however I was doing that darn Find the Nations Game and I can see how it wears some of the staff down after having to sign off on 100 cruisers scavenger list. I felt sorry for the people that were the only crew member from a location like Finland. It would probably get old after the 50th cruiser ask for your signature. As far as the pool I never saw many in the pool so the size seemed appropriate for the numbers that would actually use it. Main Dining Room was all about US moments. I felt very special while dining there. The Windjammer was good but some may tire of the food selection I suppose. I was able to pack on some pounds and enjoyed the different food they changed out with and was glad they kept some of the favorite items out each night. My bartenders were the very best! We would just walk by The Schooner and they would chant my husbands name over and over...yes we tip. I always got hugs in the Casino by the waitstaff and in The Hoof and Claw the waiters would dance my drinks to me. Pablo made the most amazing Bloody Mary I have ever tasted and later I ask what he had used earlier on the rim for spice and it was a special spice he keeps in his room. He actually went to his room on break and made me one of his SPECIAL DRINKS...This is just a few of the awesome bartenders I had and trust me we met many! Sorry the poster didn't have the same wonderful time we had but everyone has different experiences and needs on vacation. I wanted for nothing.

We found the parade the same way. They really need to be better organized for others not traveling with kids. To get through the promenade. That was a big challenge.
