This will be our second time on RC in January and we absolutely love it!! We first went on the Carnival and all though it was our first cruise ever and was a fun one I just feel like RC has so much more! And plus the resent incident with Carnival and there ship Sunshine tipping on side I don’t think we will be going on them anytime soon! Plus only giving there passengers $50 onboard credit?!? Now that’s nickel and diming them did you see the pics?!? Stuff was dumped every where!

Your profile shows no RCL cruises at all. Why write a fake review?!

We had a good experience and booked another

We had a great cruise experience on Liberty. Sorry yours was focused on up selling and nickel and dime stuff. All the cruise lines do it in their own style. The up charges for specialty restaurants are noted as well as drink packages, Internet packages, room service, wine tastings, etc. All are listed so when you book your cruise there shouldn't be any surprise if you research the cruise line, the ship, the itinerary, the ports you'll be visiting. You can avoid the nickel and dime routine by saying "no" and sticking to everything listed as 'included' for your cruise. Like anywhere else in the world you pay extra for anything extra. Try a different cruise line and give cruising a chance.

Love liberty. Have 2 more booked on her. It is what you make it but try and find a cruise line that doesn't do this

Be a little more educated before you go on any ship. If you let them, they will n/dime you. Who's at fault there. You are. If your too lazy to go eat, it will cost you to have room service to feed that third chin. Don't eat at Johnny Rockets then bitch because of the upgrade charge. Know what the hell your doing before you go on any cruise. Some people are just miserable when they wake up in the morning. You can spot them a mile away so avoid them like the plague.

I have been on liberty of the seas twice may this year & may last year ..... we have two more carnival booked for next year ... I wouldn’t not book another royal cruise but we feel you get more free dining options on carnival ... we love cruising & believe your vacation is what you make it ... I think it’s just ones preference...

I never encountered a really bad experience in all our cruises we have been taken so far. Just a few issues but nothing that would make me avoiding a special cruiseline. There are things that royal does better than others but there are surely things that other lines do better than royal - no doubt about that. But all in all every cruise is a unique form of vacation and I love it. I could not imagine a hotel/resort vacation on land when I can spend my days at sea😃

We just got off a royal and I was very disappointed in the extra fees (room service, johnny rockets), ice cream cut off, small cabins, not a lot of or short activities, etc.....i never thought i would like carnival better but.......

Most cruise lines will nickel and dime you, that’s just the nature of the business. This is not specific to RC. With that being said I still love RC. Never had bad service.

I personally had an amazing experience on liberty in August. The service was amazing, we had the best room attendant ever.

How do you know? You dont have any Royal Caribbean cruises listed in your profile. Most all the cruiselines are pushing sales on everything and they are all mostly understaffed......not just RC.

I couldn’t agree with you more! I recently went on Liberty (Sept 2018) and it was by far the worst cruise I’ve ever been on. Windjammer food was ugh, only saw our cabin steward once, wine glasses were spotty and dirty.. and we definitely felt nickel and dimmed to death..

Ship4brains    6 years ago

Couldn’t disagree with you more, but you get what you pay for. I am on a Royal Caribbean cruise right now and the service checking in, the Windjammer, the main dining room, my cabin steward, and my personal bartender have all been top notch. If you treat them with respect, they will treat you ten times better.
