Review summary

It was my first cruise and I have a mixed fillings regarding this trip. On one hand everything designed for the customer entertainment, on another hand everything designed to have customers to spend significantly large amount of money! Shows and music choices were amazing and I enjoyed every one of them! Staff polite and helpful making sure guests were pleased. Now about negative experience: I understand that alcohol is optional choice an if someone decided to pay $12.00 for every drink or $350.00 per person for the unlimited drinks it is ok, however internet should be provided at no charge for the customers. Another issue for me was food. Buffet had a great choice, however at the sit down dinners at the 3rd floor Rembrandt I sent my food away because it tasted like food at the hospital-no taste whatsoever! Other restaurants on the ship required to spent around $30 per person just for food, so for the party of 3 I paid $100 (with the service fee) for our dinner in the Chop House. Based on my experience I do not think I will go on the another cruise with any cruises lines!

In regards to the internet, as good as it is when you have it they have limited bandwidth and need to price people out of it to maintain usability. When I went in 2016 on Liberty the main dining was decent but it never really impressed me. I wasn't able to try any speciality restruants besides Johnny Rockets. These are optional and have to be c Uocharges and they only seat around 50 or so I think.

đź‘Ť we love RCI. Very accommodating I thought. And the extras are a choice.

It’s probably best that you don’t go again 🙄🙄🙄

Had no problem with the food. It wasn’t Cheesecake Factory but I didn’t starve. Loved the hip. You should watch a show on these ships. They really don’t make much on these ships. They make most of the money on what people buy. That’s what they say anyway

I guess that extras can be frustrating. But, the way I see it, you get to have a nice trip/hotel, but only pay for the extras you actually use. Except for Disney, we’ve had great food on most other cruise lines (Celebrity, HAL, NCL). We’ll actually be on Royal Caribbean for he first time in a few days. Hopefully, it works out for us. I would encourage you not to stop going on cruises. They are one of the cheapest ways to see more of the world. Also, try different companies, they all seem to be catering to different crowds. So maybe you may be happier on a different ship. Hopefully you enjoyed some of the trip!

Bummer I’ve always had a great experience with the main dining room food... now Chops Grille is definitely a huge step up and is comparable to a high end land based steakhouse. What people fail to consider is the bargain “fare” for the cost of the cruise. You get hotel accommodations, meals, and entertainment included, which would cost a lot more anywhere else. The money only goes so far... which is why they have other options to supplement.
