Review summary

Excellent cruise line in all areas: food, service and facilities. This was our second cruise on the Liberty and I'd recommend it without reservations. My only complaint is that the ship has a very small "library" with only three or four chairs, no tables and situated in hallway between right and left side of ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth and didn't take more than one hour from start to finish. Well managed and efficiently processed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Ate at all three specialty restaurants and they were all excellent in food, wait staff and menu choices. Dining room food was also excellent and with the "all-you-want-to-eat" option who can complain. I had more than one appetizer with every meal...and now am paying for the weight gain(s).

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Daily visits to fitness center was the olyt onboard activity I participated in...being a senior (over 70) that's about all I could enjoy doing onboard ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Every night there was a different show and they were all very good. Particularly the ice skating show and the aerial show were the highlights of our trip.

Children's Programs

Seniors without any children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone went out of their way to make us feel special, important and happy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All areas were ship shape...

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was worth the price both in size and location (at rear of ship above dining rooms).

Ship tip

Select a room closer to the middle of the floor to minimize walking from fitness center (at front) to dining rooms at rear.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas Did not visit port

local resident visits Galveston often.

Cozumel, Mexico

just went into town and shopped, ate and returned to ship.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Swam with the sting rays and highly recommend the trip. Even with cool weather it was a great trip and lots of fun.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Toured the Hope Plantation and had "high tea". excellent bus tour guide and house guides. only 13 steps to climb to see inside the plantation home.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Fog at port delayed our departure by three hours causing airline schedule change for friends who were with us.
