Review summary

We had a great time. Got away from work and everyday things to rest, relax and get ready for going back to work again. Pretty much the perfect vacation for me and my lovely wife family

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Excellent. The port staff did their best to make it smooth and easy. They were much nicer and more efficient than airport security. And our bags were delivered on time at our cabin

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The anytime dining worked great. We decided to make a reservation for our table for each night. The staff took great care of us. I would recommend taking the galley tour to see how they do it. The buffet menu was a bit salty sometimes but had wonderful selection and daily variety. You can enjoy a big breakfast and skip lunch if you want.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We didn’t take part in activities much but saw many other people having fun. Maybe next time.

Entertainment

We slept early because of lots of exercise.

Children's Programs

No children were with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every staff member was working together to make the vacation as nice as possible for everyone. It would be hard for them to do more. The one weakness was the guest service desk, which could have had more people on duty.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship design was excellent. The one issue was deck 3, which didn’t have a passage through because of the ice rink. Some areas did show a bit of wear, but it was very minor. We saw the staff cleaning the decks and inside passages every day

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Small but very effective. We appreciate the closet space and small safe. There was a small refrigerator that we didn’t find until we were almost home. Our steward took care of everything very well. We only lacked for a bit more water pressure in the shower.

Ship tip

Do a lot of walking to work off the food. We took the stairs all the time. Also, look for price reductions before buying in the onboard shops. Port jewelry will also be less expensive than on board.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
We live in Houston so we didn’t take any tours here.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Fun and well organized. Nice people in the shops. Good excursions available.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
Very old style port. Less tourist oriented. You will have to take the tenders to go ashore and the water can get very choppy.

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
I was surprised at the low security here. Very nice and accommodating but more expensive than Cayman or Cozumel.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy. No problem with customs ore ICE. just show your passports and walk through.
