I had the worst experience in any type of vacation that I've ever had. Liberty of the Seas was very disorganzied and lacked communication. The only good thing about the cruise was the staff in the Main Dining room (Jesus and Ying). Managment in the Windjammer was not apologetic or helpful and Guest Relations did not see urgency of problems when it arised. I got a note while departing my cabin on the last day (in last 20 minutes of being on the ship) from GR manager stating hopefully we resolved problems with the other the managers. I'm very dissapointed that we didn't at least get a call from the GR manager, during the whole cruise I never saw the GR manager and dealt with the staff.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Could barely hear the announcer on trying to embark; was there early but took around 2 hrs or more to get on the ship
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The main dining room had excellent food, but the Windjammer was lacking especially during breakfast (same thing every single day)
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Pools, hot tubs, and the fitness center were nice when not packed. Wanted to watch more movies but the screen had many pixels out.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
When reading the headliners most of the time it did not give enough information for me to know if I would like it or not.
Children's Programs
Did not bring kids
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The waiters in the main dining room were excellent; the windjammer manager was rude when i asked about the compllimentary sushi that was supposed to be at the Jade; he asked what employee told me that and did not apologize that he/she was mistaken and that they do not provide that anymore.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Common areas were pretty clean, but staff could not get to all of it before people would mess it up again. Wished the slides were closer to the middle and that the ship would have less pendulum when hit with waves.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
Decently comfortable, but some drawers were messy; when i first got into the cabin i saw a set of earrings that were someone else's previously. Size is a bit on the small size and it is definately and old looking type of room
Ship tip
Do not go on the Stingray excusion in Grand Caymen!!! It was said to be a 2hr 30 minute exurscion but it turned to be a 4 hr 30 min excursion PLUS 1 hour waiting underneath a tent. The actual stingray experience was only 20 minutes out of all the waiting; the company that worked with the shore excursion staff completely lied to everyone/had poor communication. This was the turning point that ruined our whole vacation.
Beautiful port but HORRIBLE expereience with the excursion; As stated 2hr 30 minute exurscion but it turned to be a 4 hr 30 min excursion PLUS 1 hour waiting underneath a tent. The actual stingray experience was only 20 minutes out of all the waiting; the company that worked with the shore excursion staff completely lied to everyone/had poor communication. Thus we had to rush to find a bar/restaurant that taste local food (closest thing to the tender boat) rather than having many hours to enjoy the port.
We had a beach excusion that we booked later with an upgraded fee because of the fiasco of the Caymen excursion. The company dealing with the Blue Waters Beach was amazing;very punctual and helpful. Can't say anything bad about Jamaica!
Very disorganized; we had alloted time to be on a certain deck for self- carry; the staff was barely there to help guide us and when they finally did we were told to wrap around outside to then eventually go outside to the path of debarking through rooms to the ship lift/exit. Many of us were out in the cold for several minutes; others cut the line because of no guidance/supervision of staff.
You needed to speak to the Matrde if any problems in the restaurant they normally would then send over the higher rank but always want to make things right ... it's unusual that they did not send over the appropriate staff to sort out your issue?
