Review summary

The cruise was still a lot of fun a very nice ship even though its older very friendly and nice staff, was a little disappointed in the food and activities but in the end i am still very happy and would go on it again in a heartbeat

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had matching "on our honeymoon" t-shirts.. because of this the staff was very excited and happy for us. They allowed us to go in the VIP line for security which only took like 5 minuets, then we went to the check in line.. that one took a bit longer but not much only about 20 min to get thru the line up to the counter all checked in and walking up to board the ship. Once we had our seapass cards we went straight onto the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
the main dining room was good everything i ordered tasted good but nothing special. However i was very disappointed in the windjammer. The food was not very good at all we went for lunch one day and it was disgusting. We went another night for dinner and it was alot better. I understand making all that food for that many people is going to be hard but i have been on 8 cruises and i was expecting a bit higher quality.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
This ship does have alot of stuff. 3 different water slides, the flow rider, rock climbing, ice skating, the kids swimming area, the main pool deck, etc i was a little disappointed in the activities that they had by the activities department and the cruise direct and his staff. On other cruise ships i really enjoy all the sail away parties they have each time you leave a port but this ship didn't have that. I also enjoy the big deck parties the other cruise lines have and this didn't have it. they had a 70's dance party and a dreamworks parade but that was it. I felt like this cruise was directed towards families with kids or older generation people but the age group in between was kind of left out. I also was not a fan of only have 2 stand up comedy nights on carnival i really enjoyed that they have stand up every night....However on a positive note i did really enjoy the battle of the sexes, the love and marriage game, and the quest

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the stand up comedians, and the different game shows like battle of the sexes, the love and marriage game, and the quest. We went to one acrobatic show but that was it.. that show was nice, but we did not attend any other show.. we are not big on musicals and we tried to go to the ice skating show but there was never any seats available.

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
our steward micheal was amazing!! loved him he was so nice and always said hi and called us by name.. In the main dining room we had my time dining...4 out of the 6 night that we ate in the dining area we had the same table and they were amazing wait staff... The other 2 nights we sat in a different area and the wait staff was not as good.. they seemed mad and grumpy

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is a beautiful ship... it is a little dated on some of the decor but thats because its is a little bit older ship. It was always well cleaned though

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was normal size for a balcony cruise cabin. I did feel like the balcony was bigger then other ships i have been on which was nice. It was my first time having a cabin in the front of the ship and i was a little worried but i actually really like it and it was super easy to find and we never got lost looking for our room

Ship tip

I think the drink package is totally worth it. No honestly we probably didnt drink as much as what we paid but the ease of not having to keep track of how much you drink.. and we are not real big drinkers but i think we got our moneys worth not only can you get all the drinks you want it also includes the cokes and it also includes the coffee from the cafe shop on the promanade deck which i took full advantage of.. I think i drank at least 2 or 3 frappes a day

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cozumel is beautiful as always.. Nice port area close to the ship to do some shopping and easy to get around. water is so blue and beutiful.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Grand Cayman was beautiful... Super nice people very nice little place, and of coarse the stingray city was totally worth it.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Never been to this new port in Falmouth but it was nice.. i liked it cause they dont just allow anyone in there to sell you stuff, they only let licensed people that they approve to have their shops in the port area which is nice cause you don't get attached to buy stuff. However if you go out of the port area your on your own.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Disembarkation was about normal we got lucky and had one of the first numbers off the ship.. once you get off you go get you luggage then go thru costumes, It only took about 30 min from when our number was called on the ship, getting off the ship getting our bags and going thru costumes...
