This is a great cruise, especially for first-timers. You don't have to book every excursion through the ship. Try some other sites like resortforaday.com. The benefit with going through the ship for excursions is that you are guaranteed not to be left behind, if for some reason your excursion runs late.

Easy embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Try the "First Night Done Right" - it's only $15 and you get to eat in any of the ship's specialty restaurants.
Onboard Activities

Adult pool was pretty crowded most of the time. The sauna was great. Didn't try the Flow Rider, but it looked fun.
Entertainment

Great shows - though Saturday Night Fever isn't appropriate for young ones in the audience. That should be advertised somewhere. It was sad that the "Adult" shows (comedians, games, etc.) had to stoop to sexual jokes and situations.
Service and Staff

Everyone on board was friendly and helpful. Great crew!
Ship Quality

Everything was in "ship-shape".
Cabin / Stateroom

Plenty of storage space. Comfy beds, always nice and clean, thanks to the cabin steward.
We did a jeep tour. Our guide was fairly knowledgeable but it seemed like he was guessing the answers to many of the questions we asked. Cozumel is beautiful. Snorkeling wasn't as great as we had hoped.
NOTE: since this is a tendered port, it is a great port to book an excursion through the ship. If you do, you will be the first ones off the ship and onto the tender toward land.
We did the Dolphin Discovery and it was great. Warning, they will try to upsell you to an even closer encounter. I did not opt for that and thought my encounter was good. My cabin mate did upgrade and had a super time. $30 difference.
Didn't see much of the island. Some of the beaches looked pretty but we didn't have time for them with our excursion.
The port is gorgeous. Jamaica is a poor country, so expect that and you will do fine. Beautiful beaches. We did the resort for a day - "Paradise Cove. " Note: it is an hour (or more) bus ride away so that really cuts into your relaxation time.
