Review summary

Very enjoyable and relaxing. Excellent dinner service. However, it seems that RC is always trying to get more money out of you through buying pictures, jewelry, expensive drinks, etc.

Because of Coast Guard inspection embarkation was slightly delayed. Entry way to ship was very congested as all guests tried to onboard at once.

Our dinner waiter Adley and his assistant Liema were excellent. They provide excellent service and at the same time were very personable.

Ship tip

It had been awhile since we had last cruised and I was surprised at the constant push to purchase jewelry. Quite annoying.

I agree every line is trying to sell more, royal just tends to have more options which gives you the feeling that your missing out if you don't hit every activity or resturant.

I do not believe 'additional purchase pushing' is an issue with just RCCL. Seems to be heard on almost every cruise ship.
