Review summary

We had a great time on our first cruise! My children enjoyed the putt putt course on the ship, the pools and splash pad, and they tried new foods in the dining room. We all enjoyed the relaxed environment. The ship was beautiful, we enjoyed the shows, the trivia nights, the casino, and meeting new people. The only thing I didn't like is the 2 nights we went through rough seas. That was a little nerve racking for me. But once we got away from any bands of the tropical storm, it was smooth sailing after that. My husband and I would like to go again to Cozumel since it rained almost the entire time we were there. And not during hurricane season  There was also a misunderstanding w our acct. We thought our cc was attached to our seapass card, but they had us listed as a cash acct. So make sure that is straightened out w customer service early in your trip.

Here's another whiny reviewer: Everybody is talking about the weather, but no one is DOING anything about it! Seriously, if I'm going to be aboard a ship during a storm, I want it BIG! Cozumel is fun, with lots to do. As for Galveston, it's a great to get away from--as quickly as possible. Check out my Liberty of the Seas videos and see how your experiences compared with ours.

Sorry about the weather and rough seas, it happens sometimes. 20 years ago Cozumel used to be a pretty hoo-hum port. There is so much to do there now, definitely worth a revisit or three. Great to read you brought a great attitude with you, too many whiny reviews any more.

When you go from Gulf of Mexico to Caribbean Sea it's always choppy

My son and I have slept through a great many storms sailing in and out of Galveston.

That is exactly what my Mom said! She says it rocks her to sleep. Ugh!My sis n law said she sat straight up in bed during the "rollercoaster" storm.

At first we said this would be our only cruise, but by the time it was time to come home, we've said we'll do it again :)

I've sailed a lot of Galveston. The Gulf of Mexico always seems to be choppy. I'm glad you enjoyed your cruise overall. Are you addicted yet? 😎. I'll be sailing on my 30th cruise on LOS in September.
